I am so excited to connect with you and to talk to you about body confidence, emotional eating, dieting or breaking up with dieting and all that kind of good stuff. This is a topic that's actually really close to my heart. Now, if you've been following me for a long time, since like the beginning of my business, then you might remember that I actually started as a health coach.
I really wanted to help women to break up with dieting and to just have a different kind of relationship with their body so that they could feel just more confident and they could feel happier. And they weren't always stressed about, I can't eat that or I need to go to the gym, all that kind of stuff. I had lived like that for a really, really long time, actually since about age 10 or 11 or so, and it's exhausting. And it's not a fun place to be.
3:50 - How working with my coach helped me grow as a coach, and see how my struggle with body confidence was intertwined with my love life.
6:55 - Why I needed to change my relationship with food.
9:20 - What prompted me to start a health coaching business.
10:15 - Three truths I want you to know about your body and food right now.
13:00 - Where I am now on my body positivity journey.
23:10 - Four action steps to begin making peace with your body and food.

In today’s coaching episode we’re joined by Alice to talk about the inner child work that comes up even if your parents had a wonderful marriage. And be sure to join us for the entire show because, in the end, I’ll share why I didn’t move into some heavier topics during this conversation. It’s going to be really valuable if you’re also a coach, or even coaching yourself.
4:05 - Alice asks, why is she still single after ending a 20-year relationship 5 years ago.
6:20 - We explore Alice’s background and childhood.
8:20 - Do you really want unconditional love?
12:05 - Alice becomes enlightened, and you can too.
18:45 - The importance of looking at how you already have what you want in the relationship with yourself.
30:40 - Start taking people off the pedestal, it’s not fair for you or for them.
33:00 - Where I’d go next if I was working with Alice over time.

Full disclosure, I had some resistance around today’s episode. We’re talking about being coachable, and I don’t feel like I’m the person to say who is or isn't coachable. I have worked 1 on 1 with a lot of women, and there are some key differences between women who really go far by working with me and those who don’t get as much out of this work.
So today we’re going to talk through being ready to work with me, and really being ready to expand and grow so you can call in the relationship you want.
7:05 - I want to start by defining what I mean by coachable
8:30 - Being coachable has NOTHING to do with your worth
10:05 - Signs you’re not coachable right now
13:30 - Signs of a closed mind, I’ve already heard this or I already know this
17:15 - Hiding in books or larger programs to avoid the deeper work
22:15 - What makes us coachable, starting with awareness
24:00 - The power of curiosity
