    Today on the podcast I’m joined by Conner Mantz!
    Conner most recently ran the Boston Marathon and is already excited to get back on the roads to try and change a few things up so he can hopefully be battling for the win at the finish next time as he says on this episode. But he raced gutsy and still had an impressive performance finishing 11th overall with a time of 2:10:25. To list just a few of Conner’s accolades he is a two time NCAA cross country champion, a 4 time all American, he holds personal records of 13:11 in the 5k, 27:25 in the 10k, and 2:08:16 for the marathon after just running two marathons. In this episode Conner and I discuss everything from his race and experience at Boston to some exclusive insight into what went into being a back to back cross country champion.

  • Kieran Lumb on going pro with ON running, his team’s historic season at Washington University + more
    Today I’m joined by the one and only Kieran Lumb.
    Kirerian just signed a professional contract with ON running and before that he attended the university of Washington where he had tremendous success. Some of his accomplishments while there include running a 3:53 mile, a 28:11 10k, and a 9:16 DMR as the 1600 leg, which is the 2nd fastest DMR ever ran. Also he placed 4th with his team at the last indoor NCAA’s in the DMR and 8th in the 3,000 meters. Kieran was also a part of the historic group of 8 UW boys who all went sub four in the same race.
    Throughout this episode we discuss that historic race, what he attributes all of Washington’s success to, why he chose to go pro with ON, his future aspirations, what’s next on the calendar for me, his skiing background, and more!

    Today I’m joined by university of Mississippi Athlete Baylor Franklin. Baylor primarily runs the 800 meters and holds a pr of 1:45.65. He finished 6th at the 2023 indoor NCAA championships in the 800 and 4th at outdoor USA’s in 2022 just barely missing out on a world championship team spot. Throughout this episode Baylor and I discuss the NBA playoffs, how his training is going right now, how he handled getting sick at the beginning of the indoor season. what he wants to change from indoor going into outdoor in order to secure an NCAA title and as usual we wrap it up with some would you rather questions.

During this episode we discuss his college days when he attended the university of Georgia, his first experience with the sport of running.     Today I’m joined by the one and only Oussama El Bouchayby!
    Oussama currently runs for Angelo state university and just opened up his outdoor season with a huge race! He ran a personal best of 1:45.31 to win the Texas relays 800 and beat Olympian Bryce Hoppel and the indoor d1 800 champion in the process. The time he ran was also the second fastest 800 ever ran by a d2 runner. During this conversation we discuss his fasting and how long he has been doing it, his start in the sport, his training during COVID in Morocco and of course wrap it up with some would you rather questions.

Neil had some remarkable races in the indoor season including placing 2nd at the Millrose games Wanamaker mile with a pr of 3:49, a 13:16 5k pr, and finishing 2nd in the European indoor 1500 only behind Olympic champion Jakob Ingebrigtsen.     Today on the podcast I’m joined by someone who’s name I think we are going to be hearing for many years to come, the one and only Dylan Jacobs! Dylan is a graduate student at the university of Tennessee and this season he has been on an absolute tear! Dylan most recently won the NCAA 5k at indoors and placed 6th in the 3k for the double. Before that he won both the DMR and 3k at SEC’s, placed 7th in the Millrose games 3k coming less than a second off of the NCAA record, ran 13:11 for the 5k which earned him the American collegiate record, and he placed 4th at NCAA cross country nationals!

Will just recently became a coach at Florida after coaching the Alabama woman’s team for five years. Over the years Will has coached many runners to first team all Americans, NCAA qualifiers, SEC medals and NCAA championship medals. This conversation was a good one as Will and I discuss his approach to coaching and the mindset that he preaches to his athletes, how he goes about recruiting, how the transition has been from Alabama to Florida and much more.

    Today on the podcast I’m joined by professional 800 meter runner Tess Kirsopp-Cole! Tess qualified for the world championships last year in Eugene Oregon and holds a pr of 2:01.4 in the 800 meters. She is also a part of the professional running group On athletics club Oceania (OAC) in Australia that just launched a few weeks ago! The other OAC groups based in Boulder, Colorado and Europe have seen loads of success so a new OAC group brings a lot of excitement to the running world.

  • Brian Barazza on the beginning of Tinman Elite, mindset, and more!
    Today on the podcast I’m joined by the one and only Brian Barazza! Brian is a part of the professional running group Tinman Elite and primarily runs the 3k steeple chase. Last year at The USA outdoor championships he made it to the final and finished 9th. His fastest time last year in the steeplechase was 8:19 and with the the world standard being 8:15 this year he said that he’s hoping to get that and hopefully knock off a few more seconds to get on the U.S. top 10 list! If you followed along with the videos on the Tinman Elite YouTube channel last year I’m sure you got very much invested in Brian’s journey to getting the U.S. standard because within a minute of watching you instantly get attached to his story.
