And is looking to do some big things this year with his team, as they bring back all their major scorers in cross country and track. Graham placed 2nd in the 5k and 6th in the 10k at the 2023 NCAA outdoor national championship and 5th at cross country Nationals in the fall of 2022.     Today I have the pleasure of speaking with Emily Venters! Emily just wrapped up her collegiate career at the university of Utah with a 2nd place finish in the 10k and a 3rd place finish in the 5k at outdoor nationals. She followed this up with a 7th place finish in the 10k at the USATF national championship last week and is hoping to continue pursuing her dream of running outside of college while also pursuing her ambitions outside of running! In this conversation we discuss all of her thoughts and advice should would give about transferring schools, her dream concert to go to, some would you rathers as always and more.

  • Olympian and 7X NCAA Champion Jasmine Moore on her future aspirations, time at Florida and more
    Today I have the pleasure of speaking with 2021 Tokyo Olympian and 7X NCAA champion Jasmine Moore! Jasmine is an incredibly gifted long Jumper and Triple Jump as she just graduated from the University of Florida with 11 SEC titles, 7 NCAA titles, multiple collegiate records and even set the American record in the triple Jump indoors earlier this year with a jump of 15.12 meters! After the recording of this episode she was named a finalist for the prestigious Bowerman award and signed a pro deal with Puma so she’s clearly got her foot on the gas and isn’t taking it off as she heads into the USA championships this week with a goal make another U.S. team.

  • NCAA 800 Meter Champion Will Sumner on gaining confidence, getting ready for USA’s and more
    Today I have the pleasure of having a conversation with Georgia’s Freshman phenom Will Sumner! Will just ran out of his mind in the NCAA’s 800, running a negative split of 53:51 to win his first NCAA title and run the US lead 1:44. This year he also won the SEC 800 indoors and outdoors, SEC freshman runner of the year and the South Region men’s track athlete of the year. This conversation was tons of fun as Will and I discuss everything from what changed from indoors where he finished last in the 800 final to his dominant win outdoors, to what character he plays as in Mario Cart. This podcast is filled with tons of interesting insights and story’s.

    Today I’m joined by 1500 meter runner Sam Prakel. Sam attended Oregon from 2013-2018 where he was a five time all American. He currently holds personal best of 3:50 in the mile and 3:34 in the 1500. This past indoor season Sam completed the double win at the indoor US championships by winning both the 1500 and 3000. This year he’s hoping to make the US outdoor 1500 meter team and with how fearlessly he’s racing right now don’t be surprised when you see him right up there in the mix in the US final. Throughout this episode we discuss what the best day of the week is, how he’s feeling going into USA’s, stories from his time at Oregon when they were completely dominating the NCAA and more.

    Have you ever seen someone in a professional race go out fastest than everyone else to the front and then drop out of the race? Well this is a job called a pacer and today I have the pleasure of speaking with one of the best pacers in the world if not the best pacer in the world Erik Sowinski! Erik attended Iowa for college and went on to become a three time U.S. Champion. But a few years ago he discovered the job of pacing and it turned out that he was very good at it because he has paced several iconic national and world records including the indoor men’s 1500 world record and the indoor American mile record. Throughout this episode we discuss why he decided to start pacing, what it takes to pace a perfect race, some of his pacing fails, and more.   • The newest Sub Four high school Miler Jackson Heidesch on everything surrounding the race and more
    Today I have the pleasure of speaking with the newest sub four high school miler, Jackson Heidesch!
    Jackson is an extremely accomplished high school senior and is headed to Duke next year to continue his academic and athletic career. He just ran 3:59 in the mile to become the 20th high schooler to ever break four minutes and was a part of history as four high schoolers including himself went under four minutes in the same race. Some of his other accomplishments include finishing fifth at Nike cross nationals, winning New balance nationals in the mile and he’s a multi time individual and team state champion.
    In this episode we discuss everything surrounding the night when he broke sub four, the NBA finals, His future at Duke, I introduce a new segment to the show which involves Jackson and I discussing some of the best running performances in the past week, and of course we wrap it up with a few would you rather questions.

    Today on the podcast I’m joined by Alex Phillip, AKA the kid from Akron! Alex grew up in Akron Ohio and even went to the same high school as LeBron James so that basically already makes him the goat of running. But Alex is also a very accomplished D3 runner as he already has 5 National titles including 2 cross country titles and 3 track titles. With outdoor track Nationals coming up he’s hoping to capture both the 10k and 5k title to add two more to his collection. He has attended John Carrol University for the past four years but Next year he’s headed to the University of North Carolina to hopefully help the team go for a cross country National title and to test his limits. On today’s episode we discuss his experience growing up in Akron, Ohio, some funny stories about him playing ultimate frisbee instead of doing workouts, the NBA playoffs, and more!
