A couple of years ago when I was a Breakfast Radio Host, i had the priviledge of meeting this little champ, 11 year old Jayton Carter. Jayton like many other Kids in Regional and Metro WA suffers from some harsh health problems. Jayton suffers from Cystic Fibrosis, Club Feet & Gastroschisis. This is a birth defect of the abdominal (belly) wall. The baby's intestines stick outside of the baby's body, through a hole beside the belly button. The hole can be small or large and sometimes other organs, such as the stomach and liver, can also stick outside of the baby's body. (Jayton tells us what that is in the Interview). Jayton was last years Regional Little Telethon Star.
This weekend is the HBF Run for a Reason which Jayton, his Mum Lisa and around 30,000 other people are taking part in, including many of the regular guests to Rural Focus. Best of luck to everyone taking part and a big thanks to Jayton for joining me on Rural Focus this morning.
