It was a wild weekend of racing at Tailem Bend with the first of the last double headers before the Bathurst 1000 and there was huge ramifications on the championship with both Scott McLaughlin and his nearest championship rival Jamie Whincup having a difficult outing for both. The Bend saw a return to form for Fabian Coulthard who bounced back from a rough run of form to win the Saturday race, as well as leaving the first leg of The Bend as the round winner.
