This week it is the midseason finale AND the full moon! It is time for Tyler's first transition and he is stressed, for good reason it turns out. We meet a new character hunting down Mason, which is of course automatically suspicious. Luckily Damon and Alaric have their acting skills to rely on to get some answers! Meanwhile, Stefan is trapped in the tomb, Elena is trapped in her house, and Elijah has an offer that Elena may not be able to refuse. And since it's a midseason finale, you know we have to have a cliffhanger...
