Elena has been kidnapped by Wes and brought to a new Augustine lab - which also happens to be the former clinic of her own father, Dr. Graysen Gilbert! Wes reveals his own scientific plans. We learn more about Graysen’s Augustine research, which seems to keep boiling down to the fact that vampire blood heals humans. So why is he electrocuting people? Unclear. Meanwhile, Stefan and Damon kidnap Aaron who Wes honestly couldn’t give a shit about. Wes lets Enzo out to reunite with Damon, and gives him an opportunity to monologue and fight. There seems to be a Delena breakup - but will it stick? Finally, we end with Katherine looking the closest to death she’s ever looked - how will she get out of this one?
