• Establish Rules and Policies around appropriate Topics of Conversation in the workplace (08:00).
• Rules around getting involved in other people's conversations. Your main objective and/or your Team Member's main objective is to focus 100% on the Client that is on the bed in front of you (10:00).
• Rules around talking about other businesses, other Salons, and other people who aren't present at the time (aka b**ching) (12:00).

In this week's episode Lauren shares several reasons why you need to "Hire Slow, Fire Fast" in your Beauty Business.
Managing staff is never easy, and it's never set-and-forget, but letting someone go can be even harder. It takes awareness, nuance, and compassion (for everyone involved in the process).
"Good hiring decisions never come from a place of desperation" ~ Lauren Lappin.
Why You Need to Hire SloW, Fire Fast:
Not letting someone go can negatively impact your Mental Health as the Business Owner (07:30).
It can set a really bad example for your Team. If you allow a Team Member to keep acting in an unprofessional manner, you may see this poor behaviour start to replicate through the rest of your Team (08:30).
Team Morale Can Drop! (09:30).
If you wait too long to let someone go, it can lead to Client Loss. If the vibes in the Salon are tinged with negativity (or your Team is obviously unhappy) you can lose Clients, even loyal Clients (11:05).
