Facebook-based organization 'আমি নারী The Empowered Women' organised their special program 'আমাদের গল্প Untold Stories' in Sydney recently. One of the organizer Ms Anila Parveen spoke to SBS Bangla prior to the event.

Melbourne's Bangladeshi photographer Imran Abul Kashem's documentary photography book 'Green Wedge' was launched on Thursday. Sarah Connolly MP of the Labor Party in the state of Victoria unveils her book at Wyndham Art Gallery in Werribee, west of Melbourne. In addition to Imran's photographic exhibition, the works of other local artists have been featured in the exhibition. This exhibition is a part of Wyndham City's program of new talented artists on contemporary perspectives, is called 'New'. Imran Abul Kashem speaks to the audience of SBS Bangla about his experience with his new book and photography exhibition.

গতকাল বৃহস্পতিবার মেলবোর্নের বাংলাদেশি ফটোগ্রাফার ইমরান আবুল কাশেমের ডকুমেন্টারী ফোটোগ্রাফি বই  'গ্রীন ওয়েজের' প্রকাশনা উৎসব এবং আলোকচিত্র প্রদর্শনীর  উদ্বোধন করা হয়। মেলবোর্নের পশ্চিমে ওয়েরেবির উইন্ডহ্যাম আর্ট গ্যালারিতে তার বইয়ের মোড়ক উন্মোচন করেন ভিক্টোরিয়া রাজ্যের লেবার পার্টির সারাহ কনোলি এম পি। এই প্রদর্শনীতে ইমরানের আলোকচিত্র প্রদর্শনীর পাশাপাশি অন্যান্য স্থানীয় শিল্পীদের শিল্পকর্মও স্থান পেয়েছে। সমসাময়িক বিষয়ের ওপর নতুন মেধাবী শিল্পীদের নিয়ে করা উইন্ডহ্যাম সিটির এই কর্মসূচিকে বলা হচ্ছে 'নিউ'। ইমরান আবুল কাশেম এস বি এস বাংলার শ্রোতাদের জানিয়েছেন তার বই এবং আলোকচিত্র প্রদর্শনী নিয়ে তার অভিজ্ঞতার কথা।
