Lion's Head is a traditional Chinese dish believed to have originated in the Shanghai and Yangzhou regions. Its name comes from the large pork meatballs, which resemble the size of a lion's head. The version featured here, Lion's Head Hot Pot, combines these oversized pork meatballs with Chinese cabbage, slowly simmered until tender. Popular in Taiwan as well, it is a hearty and satisfying dish that the whole family can enjoy.
