Victoria has recorded 429 new cases of coronavirus, taking the total number of cases to almost 12,000. The state also saw 13 deaths since overnight- it is the state's equal deadliest day. In response, Premier Daniel Andrews has announced a three-tiered system of workplace restrictions.
A state of disaster has been declared in Victoria, with tough COVID-19 restrictions on movement across Melbourne and an overnight curfew being enforced by police.
