While this summer is being billed as the worst bushfire season in Australia, Queensland has been simultaneously blowing hot and cold, quite literally.

ਆਸਟ੍ਰੇਲੀਆ ਦੀ ਫਰਟਿਲਿਟੀ ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਨੇ ਭਾਰਤ ਵਿਚ ਕੀਤੇ ਜਾਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਆਈ ਵੀ ਐਫ ਇਲਾਜ ਦੇ ਮਿਆਰ ਅਤੇ ਨੈਤਿਕਤਾ ਬਾਰੇ ਡੂੰਘੀ ਚਿੰਤਾ ਜਤਾਈ ਹੈ। ਭਾਰਤ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਫਰਟਿਲਿਟੀ  ਸੋਸਾਇਟੀ ਦੇ ਮੁਖੀ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਨਾਲ ਸਹਿਮਤ ਹਨ, 'ਤੇ ਇਸ ਸੰਬੰਧ ਵਿਚ ਕਾਨੂੰਨ ਦੀ ਘਾਟ ਹੋਣ ਕਰਕੇ ਇਸ ਬਾਰੇ ਚਿੰਤਿਤ ਹਨ । 

"I really do believe that the government is unfair to the community of students when they bring them here and they spend a lot of money and our economy does very well out of it, but the students don’t get pathways to residency,” said Indian Subcontinent Crisis and Support Agency chair, Kittu Randhawa.

‘ਮੈਨੂੰ ਲਗਦਾ ਹੈ ਕਿ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਵਿਦੇਸ਼ੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸੁਹਿਰਦ ਨਹੀਂ ਹੈ। ਬੇਸ਼ਕ ਇਹ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀ ਇਸ ਮੁਲਕ ਦੀ ਵਿੱਤੀ ਹਾਲਤ ਵਿੱਚ ਠੋਸ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਂਦੇ ਹਨ, ਪਰ ਫੇਰ ਵੀ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੱਕਿਆਂ ਹੋਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੋਈ ਢੁੱਕਵਾਂ ਰਾਹ ਨਹੀਂ ਪ੍ਰਦਾਨ ਕੀਤਾ ਜਾਂਦਾ’, ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿੱਟੂ ਰੰਧਾਵਾ ਨੇ, ਜੋ ਇੰਡੀਅਨ ਸਬ-ਕੋਨਟੀਨੈਂਟ ਕਰਾਈਸਿਸ ਅਤੇ ਸੁਪੋਰਟ ਅਜੈਂਸੀ ਦੀ ਮੁਖੀ ਹੈ।

Turban-wearing Sikh truck drivers delivering goods to Nestle Australia say they continue to be denied entry into Nestle premises without wearing a hard-hat – something not possible over a turban. Nestle Australia has now told SBS Punjabi, ‘We appreciate that requiring people in some areas of our sites to wear a hard hat creates a difficult situation for Sikh visitors to our site, but we’re keen to find a way to accommodate them.’
