Nagercoil Sudalaimuthu Krishnan, popularly known as Kalaivanar and also as NSK was a leading Tamil film actor comedian, theatre artist, playback singer and writer in the early stages of the Tamil film industry – in the 1940s and 1950s. Renuka asked a few of our Melbourne listeners what they thought of same-sex marriage postal survey result, and got a mixed bag of responses.

நாட்டில் ஒரேபாலின திருமணத்தை அங்கீகரிக்க வேண்டுமென, அஞ்சல் வழி கருத்து வாக்கெடுப்பு முடிவு வெளிவந்துள்ள நிலையில், இதைப்பற்றி  மெல்பேர்ன்வாழ்  நேயர்கள் சிலர் தெரிவித்த கருத்துக்களின் தொகுப்பு.

A visa marriage can be the last resort for those who can't get permanent residency any other way to live in Australia.

But it appears trying to get permanent residency through legitimate channels can be just as risky as paying someone to marry you.

In a special investigation, SBS Viceland's The Feed explores the underground market where Australian permanent residency is being bought and sold.

They find dodgy agents and job brokers, and hear from victims who've lost thousands of dollars in their pursuit of the Australian dream.

This is a joint investigation, involving The Feed, SBS language programs and Fairfax newspapers.
