In this episode Dan Holmi review's Alex Ovechkin season and career. Some players lose their edge as they get older. That doesn't seem to be the case with Alex Ovechkin.

At the start of the 22-22 season, Ovechkin scored his 730th career goal, which him at sixth on the NHL’s All-Time great's list, first among active NHL players, and the most by any player in Washington Capitals history. During the season, he passed Dionne (731),  Hull (741), and  Jagr (766) on the All-Time list. He curently ranks third on the NHL’s All-Time list.

By scoring 50 goals during the 21-22 season this was the 16th season for Ovi to score 30 or more goals, second most in NHL history, only behind Gartner (17). It was the twelfth season for him to score at least 40 goals, which tied him with Wayne Gretzky for most in NHL history. It was the ninth season for him to score at least 50 goals which tied him with Mike Bossy and Wayne Gretzky for the most in NHL history. It was his 17th season of scoring 20 or more goals and the 17th consecutive season he’s done that.
