Imagine taking your bike all the way around the Annapurna Circuit, Annapurna Base Camp and Everest Base Camp? A triple crown like no other some would say. We also speak about overcoming ageism in bike packing, the therapeutic benefits of cycling, and how it's helped her to embrace the highs and lows of life.

What's it like when you are on a long distance bike tour and things don't quite go as you'd like? Well this week I have another audio update from our intrepid bike travelling adventurer Rebecca Gross.

Rebecca along with her partner Javi, left their home in Austria in March, headed for the Pamirs. This is Rebecca's first forray into long distance bike travel and she is sharing updates of her journey periodically.

She and Javi have just left Turkey and have now entered Kurdistan.  Rebecca candidly shares the reality of the last few days, and a moment where she just wanted to give it all up and go home.

This is part 2 of my interview with Jude Kriwald and goes into detail on his most recent bicycle adventure through West Africa.  Jude spent 3 months touring off the beaten path in West Africa, a tour which came over ten years since his last big adventure where he cycled from England to India.  Jude had been transfixed on the notion of what it would be like to be completely in the middle of a jungle in Liberia and this indeed was the best way to find out.

He recalled some captivating details from this journey, from camping at the base of a huge waterfall, to spending 7 days  deep in the Liberian Jungle - 3 of those totally alone barely able to travel more than 10 kms a day.
