In this episode of the Mindful Megs podcast, Megs hosts Jen Watts, a life and nutrition coach focused on helping those with ADHD achieve their weight loss goals. They discuss the impact of ADHD on perfectionism, black-and-white thinking, and the challenges of organizing personal and professional lives. Jen shares her late-diagnosis ADHD journey, reveals how self-awareness and acceptance transformed her life, and emphasizes the importance of self-compassion and tailored strategies in achieving goals. The conversation also touches on parenting with ADHD, the value of personal routines, and creating self-care rituals to improve overall well-being.
Diagnosed later in life at 42, Jenn finally found an explanation for the constant internal and external chaos that had characterized her life. This diagnosis became a turning point, a welcome relief that allowed her to make sense of her experiences. Since then, her mission has been to create calm and empower other women like her.
Fueled by her own struggles with weight management and recognizing the connection to ADHD, Jenn became a certified nutrition coach and life coach. She helps women navigate the challenges of maintaining healthy habits with ADHD and design a life that works for them.
