Dr. Don Payne is back! We asked Dr. Payne back to talk to us more about women in ministry. If you question what the Bible says about women who preach and lead, this is the episode for you. Jami also peppers the podcast with incredible questions like, "What do you think of tomatoes?
We start this podcast with a look at salvation. When does it happen? How does it happen? Can we see it in others? Are these even the right questions to ask?
Then we tie those thoughts back to the Old Testament, looking at the Tabernacle, the priest's garments, and the 10 commandments.
We also look at what it means to take the Lord's name in vain. And what it means to live in a liminal space.

Interweaving stories from their own lives, Jami and Amy give a helpful framework for how to understand the absolute weirdness of the Old Testament. We don't have to deny that the stories we read in our Old Testament are hard to understand. What we can do is learn how to read the Old Testament the way it was meant to be read. We go over some of our favorite strange stories and talk through how they were meant to be read.
