Haaaaappy Thursday, friends!
Please welcome THE FIRST EVER MAN to Shameless In Conversations! How wild. What a niche. For those unfamiliar, Brandon Jack was born with sporting prowess in his blood; Brandon grew up with a father, Garry, who was a star player and coach in the rugby league. His brother Kieren was an AFL premiership player, and for a time was captain of the Sydney Swans. Brandon gave professional sport a crack himself - he played alongside Kieren at Sydney from 2013 to 2017 - before deciding his passion was writing. And feminist writing, at that.
Now, Brandon is a columnist for the Sydney Morning Herald, where he writes about locker-room culture, feminism, and violence against women, among other things like current affairs and sport. We hope you enjoy this chat as much as we loved having it.
Follow Brandon on Instagram @brandonjackk. Find some of his writing here.
Loved this? We think you'll also enjoy our chat with writers Jamila Rizvi and Carly Findlay.

HIYA! Happy Monday, lovely people.
Today's show is a biiiig one: How a Survivor contestant was the recipient of GoFundMe’s third biggest fundraiser ever, the Bachelor contestant with a suspiciously-timed weight-loss program and the influencer who sparked a racist furore this week.
Zara recommended following @thedailyaus on Instagram. Meanwhile, keep your eyes peeled on our socials for our charity merch! $10 from every tee will be going straight towards Sacred Heart Mission's Women's House.
Read 'Dear fellow white people: here's what to do when you're called racist' by Rebecca Hains.

Hello! Happy Thursday!
Today we are joined by Miss Universe Australia, Priya Serrao, a woman who defies the mould of what constitutes a beauty queen. Priya is beautiful, yes, but it's her brain that we find most impressive: she has interned for the United Nations in developing countries, has a law degree under her belt, is a vocal force for greater diversity and representation in the media, and works toward enacting change via her day job in public policy.
If you enjoyed this chat as much as we did, follow Priya on Instagram @priyaserrao.

It's a new week and we have a lot to talk about, pals!
Starting with Taylor Swift performing at the Melbourne Cup. Then, the Caroline Calloway saga that just won't die (with a lil recap for those of you who have no idea what any of that means), and the think piece about performative friendships that had us squealing in delight.
Zara recommended Will and Woody's video on depression for R U OK Day.
Mich recommended you listen to Unravel: Snowball.
Read The Cut's personal essay on Caroline Calloway here, and Mic's piece on performative friendship here.

Happy Thursday lovely Shameless fam! Today, we are joined by the remarkable Jess Quinn. When Jess was nine, her life was thrown into disarray by a cancer diagnosis. Within the year, she would lose all of her hair, and then, one of her legs. Now, Jess has turned her biggest hurdle into her biggest triumph - her career is built on the prosthetic limb she wears every day, helping her show her 180,000 Instagram followers that beauty comes in many different sizes and forms.
Here, we talk with the advocate and influencer about disability, resilience, diversity and inspiration. It’s a conversation that has stuck with us ever since we sat down in Jess’ Melbourne hotel room, and will continue to have an impact on us for a very long time.
If you loved Jess as much as we loved talking to her, you can catch her on Instagram here, and her petition is right here, ready to be signed!

Coming up on today's show: Katie Holmes’ bradigan, Scarlett Johansson’s consistent foot-in-mouth disease, and the Man Repeller article on age, success and career that got us talking.

Happy Thursday!
Today we are joined by the delightful Leigh Campbell. If we are talking expert voices in the beauty and lifestyle space, Leigh’s the ultimate go-to. You probably grew up reading her columns and insights in Cosmopolitan magazine, or, later on, in the Huffington Post Australia. Or, perhaps, you found Leigh not through her work as a journalist and editor, but as a blogger; last year, she penned the wildly popular series Treading Water about her experience with infertility and miscarriage.
Here, we chat with Leigh about work, guilt and grief, and what the last 12 months of her life have taught her about herself.
If you love Leigh as much as we do, follow her on Instagram @leighacampbell.

Coming up on today’s show: the Bachelor bombshell we’re calling bulls**t on. Plus, the rise and fall of social media veganism and why Harry Styles is the enigma women can’t get enough of.
Today Zara recommended Loving Tan and Stanley Tucci's interview on Love Stories with Dolly Alderton. Mich recommended James Cosmetics' eye masks!

Happy Thursday friends!
We’re joined today by serial entrepreneur Cyan Ta’eed, who has gone from working out of her parents’ basement in 2006 to building a tech empire in her online design and photography hub, Envato.
Over the last couple of years, Cyan has directed her energy and efforts into Hey Tiger, an ethical chocolate brand that functions as a social enterprise, where each bar sold helps community development projects for cocoa farming communities in West Africa.
Cyan is incredibly successful, yes, but she’s also kind, and oozes compassion with everything she does. Here, we discuss how she went from being in her mid-twenties with nothing to her name, to being in her late thirties with hundreds of employees, and everything in between.
Want more from Cyan? Follow her on Instagram @cyanctaeed.
