In this episode, I share with you a time recently when I found myself in a negative model. I explain to you just how the model works and I also talk you through discovering that what I was thinking was crap I don't have to believe. It was one of those situations where what they say about assumptions is really true. But as always, I decide how I want to show up, and I decide what I want to believe. Circumstance: Race day, I say words, they said words (unknown to me)
Thought: They are saying mean things about me.
Feeling: Disappointed
Action: look inward to all the things that are wrong with me, judging myself, thinking I shouldn't have reached out, I should just stay small
Results I am creating for myself: I am saying mean things about me.

Criticism from others can be extremely painful if we allow it. You do not have to believe other's opinions of you. It is completely your choice. In this episode, I do share with you a criticism that I do believe, but I also show you how I am changing so that this criticism no longer fits with who I am. I also urge you not to share our own self criticism aloud. It opens the door for others to agree with you which hurst more that what you were probably intending in the first place.

Let's let hard just be an adjective that describes something rather than allowing our brain to turn it into a feeling. When we tell ourselves something is hard, the likelihood of us pushing through hard to achieve the goal is so less likely. Let hard be an adjective and do the thing anyway. Midlife ladies you can do hard things to achieve what you want for your life!

I believe there are two different types of regret: the regret we feel when we don't do something we may have wanted to or the regret of doing something we "think" we shouldn't have. Let me help you navigate how to overcome both of these types. It takes stepping out of fear or allowing forgiveness.

This week I want to focus on your relationship with your significant others…………..note I say others because I think this work goes for all those significant relationships you have in your life. I mean all of those people who hold the closest spaces in your heart………..so I mean your spouse, your children even your parents because these are the people who are generally closest to us, who know the most about us, who we tend to love unconditionally, but also the ones who we tend to have expectations for…………..people who we expect to show up for us, but also people who also sometimes expect to hold our key to happiness.
