Al and Ali from the Triple M Gold Coast breakfast show happened to bump into one very humble and inspirational man. Steve Scanlan is walking all the way from Sydney to Brisbane raising money for Friedreich Ataxia Research Association (FARA) which is a research foundation that is very close to his heart. Tragically Steve’s children were both diagnosed with Friedrich Ataxia, saying “It’s a genetic condition, it’s basically a muscle degeneration disease”. His daughter is in a wheelchair and his son is about to be in a wheelchair and he just wanted to raise awareness as much as he can.
