Kevin Berry's family knew little about what happened to his great-uncle Reg Pauley. The Port Elgin man was killed in a Spitfire crash in 1941 in the Orkney Islands, off the coast of Scotland. The area is incredibly difficult to navigate. And during the war, more than 200 planes crashed in the area. Berry and his son visited the area, after a local group that researches the crash sites invited them to learn more about Pauley.

Years after the end of Canada's Afghanistan mission, the Canadian Armed Forces is still dealing with the human cost. Some veterans have turned to medical marijuana to combat their PTSD. Journalism student Jack Carr reports on Marijuana for Trauma, an Oromocto-based business that claims use of its product shows encouraging results.

The rock band Mountain played the Woodstock music festival in 1969. Their next hit could very well have been in New Brunswick. Hermenegilde Chiasson first published Mourir a Scoudouc in 1974. And more than 40 years later the book of poetry is considered a foundational work of Acadian modernism. Now, the first English language edition will be published. To Live and Die in Scoudouc is published by Icehouse Poetry, a Goose Lane Imprint, and was translated by Jo-Anne Elder.

Margaret Burns Hargreaves works as a cashier at a Fredericton supermarket. She's one of many people who struggled with her mental health, especially in recent years.
