Startup Fredericton and the City of Fredericton are looking for aspiring entrepreneurs with ideas about making the city a better place to live. They are holding a three-day event called Startup Weekend, inviting people to pitch their ideas to mentors and coaches, said Startup Fredericton chair Norm Couturier.

There are about 100 sick, injured or orphaned animals at the Atlantic Wildlife Institute. Director Pam Novak said the animals just keep on coming, including three eiders.
