Moncton-based Satellite Theatre is heading to the Ivory Coast on March 10, for the 10th edition of the Market for African Performing Arts. Over eight days, some 300 theatre, dance, music, comedy and street arts performances take place. Artistic co-director Marc-Andre Charron said the theatre company will promote its work, especially the Zone Rouge Project which includes performers from Chad.

The Dalhousie Legion had to close this month because of high energy bills. But president Roger LeClair said he doesn't understand why. Only last year, the legion fundraised and invested thousands of dollars into renovations designed to increase energy efficiency, he said.

Jeremy Dutcher of Tobique First Nation just released a new single, Mehcinut, with a full album on the way. Dutcher is a classically trained operatic tenor, and a musicologist with an interest in traditional music. His new album combines both interests, and was influenced by personal experiences and traditional music - including a recording of an ancestral song.

New Brunswick's Minister of Aquaculture and Fisheries said the Pasturel lobster plant will be rebuilt. The Deer Island plant burned to the ground on Thursday morning. Rick Doucet said he got the news from the CEO of East Coast Seafood Inc., which owns Paturel International.
