Leaving Iraq at a young age, Omer El-Hamdoon was raised up in the UK. His role as a community leader has also taken him further afield in the UK and internationally. He has had a long experience of working in the Muslim community, and taken up leadership roles within the UK, including with the Muslim Council of Britain (MCB), Muslim Association of Britain (MAB), Mosques and Imams National Advisory Board (MINAB); along with other trusteeships. Currently, as an imam, he is a member of the European Assembly of Imams and the British Board of Scholars and Imams (BBSI).

His passion for understanding and teaching Islam continued to increase throughout the years, and led him to delve deep into Islamic Sciences. He is doubly qualified with a Masters in each of Dentistry and Islamic Studies.
Dr El-Hamdoon is an educator and writer on Islam, as well as being an international speaker and intellectual activist. For over 25 years, Shaykh Omer has been delivering Jumu‘ah sermons, motivational reminders and inspiring talks; as well as regular study circles and educational courses.

As a mentor and spiritual coach, he accompanies Muslims as they work on breaking the barriers standing between them and becoming their better selves, allowing their faith to radiate in every aspect of their lives.
His traditional study of Islam compiled with his knowledge of western societies make him very aware of the gap that needs bridging for Muslims living in the West; to understand and make sense of this beautiful religion within the context of their lives.
Shaykh Omer combines traditional understanding of Islam with modern concepts.

He is the co-author of the book: “30 Steps Towards a Refreshing Ramadan”, where he smartly conjures up some of the deepest concepts of Islam with a cocktail of technological terms, inviting the reader to dwell into the spiritual aspects of Ramadan, by relating the jargon of modern gadgets to one’s inner soul (nafs). And he has translated other books including al-Nawawī’s “Bustān al-‘Arifīn” and the “Hadramī Introduction”.
He speaks at varying venues and international venues; as well as appearing on a variety of TV channels speaking in English and Arabic. He also lectures on many topics, including fiqh, usūl al-fiqh, hadith and politics in Islam.

Women have lost jobs, career status, a year of our lives, and damn near lost our minds to The Shecession. Marie Hale, CEO and sales and marketing visionary, talks with feminist leaders in all sectors about the atrocity of it all and how the hell we are going to bail out 7 million burned-out moms. --------------------- Young women have been told for the last thirty years or so that if we really want it and we work hard enough, we can have it all: career, family, financial independence. But for all the progress we’ve made, 2020 slapped us with a brand new feminine recession. The options for building a family and a career weren’t great before, and now they’ve all but disappeared. Suffice it to say, we’re mad as hell!&nbsp; As a CEO, sales and marketing veteran, single mom and now homeschool headmistress, Marie Hale has been through the wringer more than once. This time, she funneled her anger into not just a new business, but a new business model. In the last months of 2020, Marie did her mad-scientist entrepreneur thing and founded fwd@revolution for women and others who have been disenfranchised by corporate America. But she’s not done rattling cages yet--this visionary is seeking out our country’s brightest feminist thinkers, leaders, and doers across all disciplines for some real talk on what needs to change--now.&nbsp; Hold onto your pearls, because Marie’s asking the tough questions: Who’s to blame for all this? What’s a lady got to do to get subsidized childcare? And what are we gonna wear when we dance in the flames? Tea will be spilled, and voices will be shrill. In this house, our guests are more than welcome to let their hair down and get a little unladylike. (Be warned, at times the language may get too spicy for little ears!) As our country recovers economically and culturally from everything that went wrong in 2020, those of us who have been marginalized will not go back to silence. We are on the verge of a work/life revolution, and the more diversity and inclusion we have in our ranks, the more equitable, successful, and long-lasting our new systems will be. We need everyone to look within themselves and really challenge their most deeply held beliefs about what they’re allowed to do and what they really want. Because we’re ready to push the limits. Are you with us?

Un giorno sulla bacheca Facebook di Patrizia compaiono i post di Lorena Fornasir, fondatrice Insieme al marito Gian Andrea Franchi, dell’associazione “Linea d’Ombra”.
In quei post viene documentata la condizione dei migranti, arrivati a Trieste dopo aver percorso la rotta balcanica, reduci da quello che viene definito il “game".
Di loro vengono fotografati soprattutto i piedi, massacrati dalla fatica e martoriati da ogni tipo di escrescenza e infezione.
Patrizia decide di andare a vedere con i suoi occhi, e lì, nella piazza ubicata proprio di fronte alla stazione dei treni, scopre un mondo di volontarie e volontari che, tutti i giorni, sistemati alla bell’e meglio sulle panchine, e muniti di garze e disinfettanti, si prodigano per offrire a questi ragazzi - stremati, invisibili e abbandonati da tutte le istituzioni - un primo soccorso medico, vestiti nuovi e un pasto caldo.

SECONDO CUORE - Patrizia Dall'Argine per BABY HURRICANE Audio documentario in 4 episodi Un giorno sulla bacheca Facebook di Patrizia compaiono i post di Lorena Fornasir, fondatrice Insieme al marito Gian Andrea Franchi, dell’associazione “Linea d’Ombra”. In quei post viene documentata la condizione dei migranti, arrivati a Trieste dopo aver percorso la rotta balcanica, reduci da quello che viene definito il “game". Di loro vengono fotografati soprattutto i piedi, massacrati dalla fatica e martoriati da ogni tipo di escrescenza e infezione. Patrizia decide di andare a vedere con i suoi occhi, e lì, nella piazza ubicata proprio di fronte alla stazione dei treni, scopre un mondo di volontarie e volontari che, tutti i giorni, sistemati alla bell’e meglio sulle panchine, e muniti di garze e disinfettanti, si prodigano per offrire a questi ragazzi - stremati, invisibili e abbandonati da tutte le istituzioni - un primo soccorso medico, vestiti nuovi e un pasto caldo.
