Eggs are a pretty standard part of most people’s diet. They’re rich in protein and a fairly renewable food source. On top of that, in my own opinion, they’re delicious. In the 19th century, large groups of workers would rely on eggs to provide them with the protein they needed to complete their laborious jobs at an affordable price. When the demand for eggs got too high, some people thought they had found an unlimited supply. Sometimes though, the cost is more than just the almighty dollar.

They had maps that were flat out wrong and equipment that didn’t really work if the weather was bad. They had to rely on the hope that nature would cooperate with their desire to make it to the other side of the world. Many men had the experience and drive to make the journey successfully. Sometimes though, that prize would remain out of reach.

Public transportation is an important part of our urban structure. Moving a large number of people at one time is always going to be much more efficient than every person taking an individual path. On top of that, riding the rails can help you cover more ground faster as you don’t normally have to deal with traffic. Sure trains can get delayed, but for the most part, you can get from point A to point B in a more direct route. The great thing about a train over a car is that you don’t have to drive, so you can focus your attention elsewhere. Sometimes though, the train driver’s attention is also focused somewhere else.

That usually involves going to work or school or just performing mundane tasks around the house. Outside of their usual activities, when life takes them on other journeys, people generally keep their heads down and just move along with life. Sometimes though, death makes you its business.

A quick pause to snap a picture can be a great way to save the memory for the future. Sometimes though, it’s a record of the calm before the storm.

Societies want to have a say in what’s happening in the place they call home, but usually, even if they don’t like it, the locals don’t have the power to do much about it. Sometimes though, they muster the strength to fight for what’s theirs.

Sometimes though, you either praise the person at the top or you pay the ultimate price.

Children are considered some of the most vulnerable people in society. That’s why they’re usually under the care of an adult guardian of some sort. There are times when children are found out on their own, lost or having suffered some great tragedy. When that happens, we as a society make every attempt to care for those children by either finding their parents or placing them with other adults who are willing to take care of them. Usually, lost children are from the local area and their origin can be traced fairly easily. Sometimes though, the children found are out of this world.

Many people look to the forecast in anticipation of a change in the weather, preparing themselves for what’s ahead. Sometimes though, mother nature changes her mind.

Not everyone who works on a train is a driver, conductor or engineer. Sometimes, there are employees on the train doing other work. On more upscale trains there can be cooks and bartenders. During times of war, trains have had medical carriages where doctors and nurse’s care for the wounded in transit. Saving time while performing the job on the train is a major benefit to having specialized rail cars. Sometimes though, that rail car becomes a target.
