Sinister

Season 03 : The American Southwest
Episode 08 : Port Chicago 50 : Port Chicago, CA

Military service has a number of privileges. Outside of the pride of serving your country, military service can provide benefits that might be hard to acquire otherwise. Healthcare and education are two common reasons that people can join the service these days, but back in the 1940s, a lot of servicemen were enlisting to help with World War II. Joining the military means you are willing to do whatever it takes to protect the country from evil. Sometimes though, the country doesn’t offer the same protection.

These smaller shops can operate in less populated areas making them more attractive to criminals who are looking for a quick score. Many small businesses do their best to provide security to their employees using cameras and security systems, but at the end of the day, employees are told to just hand over the cash in the event of a robbery. Sometimes though, the employee is what is stolen.

Episode 04 : The Ransom : Lake Tahoe, NV

One of the unfortunate side effects of being a major celebrity is that you may end up becoming a target for someone looking to blackmail you for money. Considering how big of a star Frank Sinatra was in the 1960s, it’s understandable he was one of the biggest targets of all at the time. We often assume that a celebrity kidnapping will be highly skilled and carried out with precision. Using the victim’s star power to command a higher ransom. Sometimes though, the kidnappers are not the sharpest tools in the shed.

Minisode : Queho : Las Vegas, NV

Not everybody fits into society. Some people live their lives with no regard for others and are not only outcasts, but a danger to everyone around them. More commonly, a person who doesn’t quite fit in is just labeled a black sheep or a loner. Most of the time, we know that they aren’t actively trying to be someone others see as an outcast. Sometimes though, the individual remains shrouded in mystery their entire lives.
