These smaller shops can operate in less populated areas making them more attractive to criminals who are looking for a quick score. Many small businesses do their best to provide security to their employees using cameras and security systems, but at the end of the day, employees are told to just hand over the cash in the event of a robbery. Sometimes though, the employee is what is stolen.

If you work in a dangerous field, you have even more safety equipment such as gas masks, eye wash stations, or even whole hazmat suits that keep you from suffering from injury or worse. Sometimes though, all the safety equipment in the world can’t block the grip of death.

Most of the time, safety precautions are put in place to protect everyone who comes in contact with a dangerous substance. Sometimes though, those safety precautions are ignored.

We often assume that a celebrity kidnapping will be highly skilled and carried out with precision. Using the victim’s star power to command a higher ransom. Sometimes though, the kidnappers are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
