When someone is murdered in Las Vegas, headlines tend to follow a pattern: mention the crime and include a short, impersonal description of the victim. 

In March of 2018, the headlines read, “homeless woman murdered.” That was the phrase police and the press used to describe the death of Kelly Kazoon.

But Kelly wasn’t just a homeless woman. She was a widow, a mother, and a friend. The man who killed her would try to say he had just blacked out and couldn’t remember what happened, but the evidence told a different story.

Jamey Walker was a member of one of the most beloved and consequential families ever to have lived on Las Vegas’s Historic West Side.

Her mother, her father, and her grandmother were all well-known and highly regarded, going back to the 1960s and earlier.

On Mother's Day 1981, a day when Jamey planned to spend time with her mom and grandmother, the unthinkable happened. She disappeared without a trace. Kidnapped. Gone.

In June 2013, 19-year-old Maureen Leianuhea “Anu” Kelly set off on a camping trip with friends in the vast and unspoiled wilderness Gifford Pinchot National Forest. The backdrop was both scenic and rugged. What was supposed to be a carefree adventure outdoors turned into a chilling mystery when Anu walked away from their campsite—completely nude, save for her fanny pack—and never returned.

Despite extensive search efforts, the only trace of her was a set of footprints leading toward a road. Her extremely limited supplies, tucked into the fanny pack she’d donned, would do little to stave off any number of threats she may have encountered in the woods. Over the years, theories have swirled - while she may have been seeking a spiritual awakening, her whereabouts have remained unknown since that fateful night. Did she fall victim to the harsh wilderness? Or is it possible that something far more sinister happened that night?

Join us as we retrace Anu’s final known steps, explore the many theories surrounding her mysterious disappearance, and discuss the latest developments, including the discovery of human remains in the Big Lava Bed located in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in August of 2024.

She was 25 years old, a beloved sister and niece who always showed up for the people she loved. In September of 2012, just 2 months after coming home with a new baby, Abby Roberts disappeared without a trace. 

Her boyfriend, Phillip Johnson, turned up days later in California, without her, but with their two-month-old baby, and then he vanished too. Their car was found abandoned in Compton, California, and 13 years later, no one knows what happened.
