So many people want to get out of their rut but do not know how. It’s difficult when you are in it and can see no way out.
As a matter of fact, it’s because you are so deep in your rut that you are unable to see how to get out.
Unfortunately, because of pride or ignorance, many stay stuck.
Have you ever found yourself in that place not knowing how to get out?
I know that I have on more than one occasion. I was able to get out with the help of God, others and reminding myself of how I did it in the past.
In midlife, it is easy to get stuck in your rut. You look around and feel trapped by your past and your future. Your past because of the time that has passed and your future because of the uncertainty.
In this episode, our guest – Geoff Reese – shares how manages the times he feels like he is in a rut. He shares some practical things that you can do to get out of the rut you are in.
One of the illustrations he used was that of a rut found on an unpaved road and what it can do to vehicles driving through or around it. He parallels this with life’s journey and what needs to be done so we don’t travel the next “1500 miles” in life stuck in a rut.
You’ll have to listen to hear how he framed this insight.
