A Councilman from Mifflin Village was arrested and jailed for menacing by stalking. He says the arrest is part of a plot to remove him from office. On December 30, Fred Craig was sworn in as a councilman for the village of Mifflin–and less than a week later, he was served a complaint, charged with menacing by stalking, and arrested on the same day.

Today -  ShotSpotter was on the scene of a shooting on Tuesday evening, according to Mansfield police. The incident resulted in a wounded teenager. Yesterday, Mansfield police Capt. Shari Robertson explained that once they got to the location, a citizen advised that suspects in a black Durango and other subjects in a silver Jeep Patriot had been shooting at each other in the roadway.

Today - OhioHealth Mansfield Hospital will get staffing help from the Ohio National Guard starting Thursday. Vinson Yates, president of OhioHealth Mansfield and Shelby Hospitals, confirmed that the Mansfield hospital will get personnel aid after Gov. Mike DeWine announced a statewide mobilization effort on Wednesday afternoon.

Also, the world is ready to welcome the year 2022 with open arms. And this year, downtown Mansfield is sending the year 2021 out with a bang.
