Can you believe it’s the week before Thanksgiving? 🦃🍁
Here’s a little Thanksgiving tale that my family loves to bring up this time of year.
A few years ago I got unreasonably ambitious and made the Pioneer Woman’s pumpkin chocolate pie recipe. Now listen, no shade on Ree as I’m sure her pie is fantastic (done correctly). But somehow I missed a step . . . and showed up to Thanksgiving with the slushiest pie one has ever seen. Not being ones to let things go, my older brothers had a field day saying it looked like a pie version of diarrhea, or what they now call pie-arrhea. Every single Thanksgiving when I arrive they do a pie check.
And Let’s suffice it to say I will heretofore check (and double check) the consistency of my pies before heading to Thanksgiving lunch. 🥧🥧🥧🥧
This week we’re talking about worship once again, and how to practically make it something actionable we do everyday, not just for a few minutes before the sermon each week at church. Biblically speaking, worship includes both in the physical posture of bowing down before the Lord, but also the symbolic bowing down our lives before him.
What are some things in our lives that we can lay down in order to worship the Lord with our lives? Maybe our finances, controlling our kids, our struggles with achievement, or even perfectionism?
Listen in today and let’s talk about practical ways to worship the Lord, both in our physical posture and also with the way we live our days.
