The Philadelphia Flyers win game 2 over the New York Islanders.  The Flyers had a 3-0 lead after the first period thanks to Kevin Hayes, who scored two goals. Claude Giroux was awesome and Sean Couturier scored a filthy goal after dangling Nick Leddy. Semyon Varlamov was pulled from there.  The Islanders scored three straight goals to tie the game and force overtime. Phil Myers ripped a shot on net a couple minutes into OT to win the game!  Carter Hart continues to be stellar.

The Philadelphia Phillies beat the Washington Nationals by a score of 8-3. Jake Arrieta pitched five innings only throwing 54 pitches, but due to a rain delay his night was over. The bullpen held it's own.   JT Realmuto hit a three-run home run, Jean Segura recorded three hits and two RBIs, and Roman Quinn was so good on the bases. The Phils found a way to score in a variety of different ways.   The defense needs to be better with three errors on the night.

The Philadelphia Flyers lose game one of the second round by a score of 4-0. The New York Islanders played a better game and Semyon Varlamov records a shutout.  Where is Claude Giroux, Sean Couturier, Scott Laughton, and the scoring? Carter Hart made as many great saves as he could before Pageau was left open in the slot in the third period for a 2-0 lead.  Once this Islanders team get a lead, it's super tough to fight back due to Barry Trotz and his system.  The first period was abysmal by the Flyers! I need to see a better start in game two!

The Philadelphia Phillies lose 2 of 3 to the Atlanta Braves. Aaron Nola got rocked in game one and it was no contest.  Hector Neris and newly added reliever, Brandon Workman, blew game two of the season in the 8th and 9th innings. Zack Wheeler threw a gem and Bryce Harper crushed a 470 ft BOMB!  In game three, the Phils had a nice lead thanks to Alec Bohm, Didi Gregorius, and Rhys Hoskins going yard. Zach Eflin was not good enough and the bullpen almost found a way to lose. Heath Hembree was solid in his Phillies' debut, Tommy Hunter had a shutdown eighth inning, and Workman almost blew it again. Freddie Freeman hit a ball into the gap and Roman Quinn cut off the ball, threw it to Gregorius, who gunned out Dansby Swanson at home thanks to a nice tag by Andrew Knapp. You can't get any closer to blowing a save than that.

The Philadelphia Flyers beat the Montreal Canadiens by a score of 3-2 in Game 6. Matt Niskanen was suspended for this tilt so Shayne Gostisbehere joined the lineup and he played well.  Carter Hart was very strong as the Habs threw a ton of shots on net. The Flyers came out hot and scored two goals within about five minutes into the game. Once they had the lead they played a VERY defensive style of hockey and did not pursue a ton of offense. That needs to change moving forward.

The Philadelphia Sixers lose game three to the Boston Celtics. The Celtics closed the game out on a 10-0 run. Joel Embiid was the only reason why this team had a chance considering the squad shot under 30% from the field. They also shut 23% from three. Tobias Harris was awful and so was Al Horford. The Philadelphia Sixers were blown out by 27 points against the Boston Celtics in Game 2. Brett Brown's defensive philosphy is getting mocked by Kemba Walker and Joel Embiid. Things Need to change. Jayson Tatum can't continue to get where he wants to on the floor. Matisse Thybulle was no match for him as Thybulle finished -30 on the night. Al Horford recorded four points and two rebounds. Tobias Harris shot 4-15 from the floor. The 76ers were outrebounded. Yup. You ready that correctly. It looked like they waived the white flag.
