Still Buffering

Well, we did it, we FINALLY said a bad word on this show. Actually a lot of times, because we're talking about Jackass! It's time to dive in and answer all the important questions, like would you rather have to drink something gross or get launched into a lake?

It's about time we dove into the classic "giant party at the end of senior year" movie genre, and what better starting point than Can't Hardly Wait? It's even got all the teen stereotypes that really aren't all that accurate, including our favorite, Cynical Velma.

Disney Channel original movie musicals defined Rileigh's childhood, and almost none more so than Camp Rock. Starring the Jonas Brothers, of course, and Demi Lovato, this movie was the pinnacle of youth for a young Rilo who wanted to attend the real Camp Rock more than anything.

So many of the things that Sydnee and Teylor loved most in the past have made resurgences among the cool new teen generations, and My Chemical Romance is one of the biggest! Also, they did MCR song on Glee?? How was Rileigh unaware of this???

Well, we unexpectedly had to take a whole week off and all we have to offer you upon our return is an episode about quite possibly one of the saddest movies of all time. Everyone say, "Thank you Sydnee" for making us all have to relive the most tragic movie scene involving bees.

It was the musical, colorful sensation of the mid-2010s, and it's one of our littlest sib's favorite movies of all time: it's La La Land! Time to go full jazz talk, eventually some Taylor Swift talk because when do we not, and definitely Ryan Gosling piano talk.

To round out this year of Still Buffering, our siblings have brought you a whole episode dedicated to an artist that we all really didn't know Sydnee loved that much: Kelly Clarkson! She's maybe the only person that could make a half breakup/half Christmas album that works, and we need to discuss it.

Well...tis the season to be jolly and also to watch some extremely questionable Netflix original Christmas movies. It's become a tradition here on Still Buffering to spend some time each holiday season with Netflix's newest offerings, and this year we've been gifted with The Princess Switch 3: They Switched Again starring Vanessa Hudgens, Vanessa Hudgens, and Vanessa Hudgens.

It is the holiday season, so we're taking a stop to check in with one of those classic Christmas movies we all love to enjoy with the family around a nice holiday fire: Batman Returns! There's so much to unpack here and it is DEFINITELY a Christmas movie, so we're just in time.
