Strange Places

The Sacsayhuamán stones sit above Cusco like a quiet dare—massive, irregular blocks weighing tens to over a hundred tons, locked together with unnerving precision and no mortar. Their tight seams, strange angles, and earthquake-proof design make the whole site feel less like a ruin and more like a message from a civilization that knew exactly what it was doing. Even now, no one can fully explain how the Incas shaped and moved stones this huge. Sacsayhuamán remains one of the most enigmatic constructions on the planet—an ancient feat that refuses to give up its secrets.

In December 1900, three lighthouse keepers vanished without a trace from the remote Flannan Isles lighthouse in the Outer Hebrides. No struggle, no note, no bodies—just a dark tower, an orderly interior, and a mystery that has baffled generations. This episode of Strange Places explores the lighthouse itself, the men who served there, the eerie circumstances of their disappearance, and the legendary log entries that have fueled speculation for over a century. From plausible theories like rogue waves and accidents to whispers of supernatural forces, we examine why this event remains one of the most unsettling maritime mysteries in history. Was it human error, an environmental anomaly, or something beyond explanation? What happened to these men? And where are their bodies?

Recently, a photo has found its way back into the limelight. A picture with seemingly no backstory. No origin. No owner. No location. No explanation. This deep dive into a re-emerging internet mystery of a supposed bigfoot captured on a trail camera is our next mission to investigate and possibly solve. Where did it come from? And most importantly, is it real?

A still frame. A figure in robes. A photo taken inside a church that would go on to shake the world of the paranormal. For decades, the image has stood as both evidence and illusion—depending on who you ask. Tonight, we’re going back to where it began, to a single photograph and the mystery that refuses to fade.

They vanished. An entire English colony, gone without a trace — no bodies, no battle, no sign of struggle. Just one word carved into a post: CROATOAN. For more than four hundred years, the mystery of Roanoke has haunted history books and ghost stories alike. But what if we’ve been looking at it the wrong way? In this episode of Strange Places, we try to dig into the evidence that might finally explain what really happened. Lets see if we can finally put this mystery to bed and find out what happened to the colonists. Was it paranormal? Or something normal . . . hiding in plain sight?

In the late 1960s, a quiet family home at 30 East Drive in Pontefract, England, became the site of one of the most violent hauntings ever recorded. Objects flew, walls bled, and an unseen force attacked a teenage girl. Witnesses claimed to see a hooded figure in black — a ghostly monk said to have been executed centuries earlier on that very ground. Decades later, the house still seethes with activity, and no one has ever found a rational explanation.

Just an announcement, friends. I am not feeling well and am taking me a little break.

In 2003, a man named Andrew Carlssin was reportedly arrested by the FBI after turning $800 into $350 million through impossibly accurate stock trades. During interrogation, he supposedly confessed to being a time traveler from the year 2256, claiming he only wanted to make a quick fortune and got too carried away, leading to his arrest. Then, just as suddenly as he appeared, Carlssin vanished without a trace, leaving behind no record of his existence. Was it a hoax, a government cover-up, or proof that someone really did crack time travel?
