In this episode we try wines from Holm Oak, Tasmania (@holmoakwines). We tried the 2023 Arneis ($30) and a 2023 Cabernet Franc Rose ($35), and both are perfect for summer 2024. These wines are delicious at all levels - sight, smell, and taste. Both are fresh, lively, and light. The Rose is the brightest rose that we have seen and is very alluring on the eyes. In addition to this we discuss the origins of Holm Oak and provide an overview of the winery which Trent had the opportunity to visit earlier in the year. Jason demonstrates how to create sparkling wine for summer using a SodaStream (@sodastream), and Trent describes the different wines people choose depending on their age. Jason’s wine of the week is a 2022 Pinot Noir from Lark Hill Estate, Canberra, ACT ($55 from the cellar door) (@larkhillwinery).
