According to a recent Food and Health study, most Americans think they are healthy and fit. Unfortunately, that's not the case at all. According to a study done by the International Food Administration Council, 57% of Americans rate their own health as very good or excellent, yet 55% of that group is either overweight or obese. Liz Sanders, MPH, RDN, is Program Manager for Food Safety Communications at the International Food Information Council. She joins Dr. David Friedman to discuss why most Americans think they are healthy when they are not, why their perception is skewed, and steps you and your loved ones can take to maintain a healthy weight.
