Dr. Deirdre J. Williams has been an educator for over 18 years. She’s been a science teacher, a dean of many subjects and a principal in addition to serving as an executive director for a non-profit organization on the School Reform Initiative. Williams was part of a school transformation locally and helped improve a 20-year “failing campus,” where 60% of 6th graders were reading below grade level. By the time she left campus, every kid was reading at 80% or above their grade level.
