Hot Shot
You can’t go wrong with new music that combines the bomb-blast swagger and snarling spit of Dirty Looks, Broken Teeth, Dangerous Toys and … Lemmy? Believe it! Our own Jason McMaster updates us on Hot Shot, his latest project featuring members of the aforementioned bands. We discuss songwriting, the forthcoming album, the eternal legacy of Henrik Ostergaard and the handwritten lyrical gift from Motorhead’s main man. You’re gonna need this!

Tom Hunting of Exodus
As a founding member of one of thrash metal’s most important and enduring bands, Exodus drummer Tom Hunting helped define a genre. Jackson Davenport of Void
His love of heavy metal was born in a Burger King drive-thru and today at the young age of 20, he’s signed to the legendary Metal Blade Records. Void vocalist Jackson Davenport joins us to discuss his band’s “haunted,” power-thrash metal; the recent concept album, “Forbidden Morals;” his unapologetic love of hair metal; touring with Dark Angel and Sacred Reich; and how a pair of vintage tennis shoes and some really cool parents helped kick the band into high gear. Oh, did we mention his upcoming dates as vocalist for Lynch Mob featuring former Dokken guitar hero George Lynch? Go ahead, knock ’em dead, kid!

Del James
He’s a lifelong friend and road manager of Guns N’ Roses, but also is an accomplished author, journalist and lyricist whose credits include GN’R, Testament, the Almighty and others. Del James joins us to discuss his gritty new graphic novel, “Consensual Violence,” his time at RIP magazine, his love of wrestling, plus a couple sidebars on Junkyard and Danzig. In his words, it’s all been a “beautiful blur.”

Lower Class Brats
Three decades since proudly proclaiming they’d “Rather Be Hated Than Ignored,” the Lower Class Brats are still driving harder than a stolen getaway car. Singer Bones and guitarist Marty Volume join us to discuss their reissued 1997 street-punk call-to-arms. We also revisit their derelict beginnings in Austin TX., their ongoing, international legacy, the merging of punk and metal, and why being obsessed with music will never be a phase.

Jeff Wagner
The story of Voivod is one of otherworldly weirdness. Words fail, comparisons don’t exist and articulating the essence of the Canadian tech-metal/prog-thrash band is an exercise in futility. Until now. With his new book, “Always Moving: The Strange Multiverse of Voivod,” acclaimed metal author Jeff Wagner pens the ultimate biography of one of music’s most oddly intriguing bands. From desolate, chaos-metal beginnings to forays into the outer limits of musical exploration, Wagner picks the brains of band members, producers, peers and others in Voivod’s orbit to fascinating effect. We welcome Wagner aboard to tell the story behind the story.

Graham Bonnet
He’s got one of the most powerful voices in rock and a list of recording credits that can’t be overstated (who else could replace Ronnie James Dio?). Graham Bonnet joins us to discuss his latest album, “Lost in Hollywood Again,” which revisits career milestones with Rainbow, MSG and Alcatrazz, as well as his solo discography – all recorded live at Hollywood’s legendary Whisky a Go Go. We also discuss his amazing roster of past guitarists (Blackmore, Schenker, Malmsteen and Vai), his upcoming duet with Bruce Dickinson, his fascination with science fiction and the songs beyond the hits that he considers personal favorites.

Dangerous Toys - Demolition
Somewhere in the cobwebs of 1990-93, Texas rockers Dangerous Toys wrote a hellacious stack of songs for a third, major-label album that, unfortunately, never happened. While some of those song ideas subsequently surfaced on the indie-label album, “Pissed,” most were left for dead as “rejects” or unfinished demos. Until now. Singer and co-host Jason McMaster tells us how 10 of those long-lost tracks were dusted off, salvaged (as much as possible) and blessed by Bill Z. Bub for the upcoming Dangerous Toys release, “Demolition” (see what they did there?).
