Today we're joined by Glen McGregor of CTV News to help us unpack what the hell just happened in our nation's capital.
Please support the podcast by leaving a rating and a review inside your podcast app. It just takes a moment but makes a huge difference for us.
Glen McGregor was on the ground over the last 3 weeks as a group of protestors and their trucks ground Ottawa's downtown to a standstill. We ask him about what we just saw and what it meant, the vibe inside the actual occupation zone, what messages these people were trying to send, the venom that he and his fellow reporters were subjected to, what about the media seems to make these people so angry and how we can bring them back, whether the police operation that eventually cleared the street was handled properly and lots more.
When you want to get a feel for something the best thing you can do is go to someone who was right there so we thank Glen McGregor for taking some time for us to explain what he saw.

It's a great day to be Canadian as Team Canada claims victory in the Gold Medal Game of Women's Hockey at the Winter Olympics. Our pal Michaela Schreiter of She's Got Game on TSN Radio joins us to break it all down.
We'd love it if you'd take a moment to leavers a rating on your podcast app. It just takes a second and helps us out a ton.
Matt and Michaela break down the game as well as point at which players stood out and made the difference for this Canadian squad. Plus has Marie Philip Poulin cemented her spot as the greatest women's hockey player in Canadian history and is this the best edition of Team Canada we've ever seen?
Plus - the IIHF has rescheduled the previously postponed World Juniors and Women's Under 18s until later this summer. What implications are there for hosting these events at an unusual time or what wrinkles might it create for the teams?
That and tons more on an international hockey-centric episode of TCA.
Catch Michaela Schreiter across the TSN Radio Network each weekend on She's Got Game and follow her on social media @Schreids.

It's a brand new episode of TCA on the post- Super Bowl Monday so we get it if you're a little sluggish as we start a new week. But don't sweat it. We got you.
Please hook us up with a sweet rating on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. It only takes a second and helps us out a ton.
So much ground to cover today as we talk a little craft beer, what we've been watching lately at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics, fall out from the big UFC 271 card this past Saturday night, whether Brad Marchand's suspension by the NHL was warranted, Tuukka Rask's retirement from the Boston Bruins and whether or not he's a Hall of Fame player, the impact Jack Campbell's recent struggles have had on the Toronto Maple Leafs and his next contract, whether DJ Smith of the Ottawa Senators might actually have more job security than Sheldon Keefe, why the Edmonton Oilers and Montreal Canadiens finally decided to pull the trigger on firing their head coaches, the continuing debacle around the Arizona Coyotes moving in to a University rink, more on the lame trucker freedom convoy currently occupying Ottawa and plenty more.
These Monday shows have become ever more packed over the last few weeks and we hope you're digging them. Find all the archives at TallCanAudio.com or hit us up on social media @TallCanAudio.

So the plan was to talk about the Super Bowl. Instead we talked about the Toronto Raptors and the NBA Trade Deadline before weighing in on the Canadian Men's National Soccer Team and their bid for the FIFA World Cup.
But the Super Bowl is important too. So we'll get to that on episode 935 Thursday morning.

Our pal Michaela Schreiter rejoins Tall Can Audio to take a look at where we stand in Women's Hockey at the Olympics after the round robin portion of the competition.
We'd love it if you'd take a second to leave a rating and a review there on your podcast app for the show. It only takes a moment and helps us out a great deal.
We kick things off with a little craft beer chatter and get quick thoughts from Schreids on a busy day for Ottawa REDBLACKS as CFL Free Agency Opens.
Talk quickly turns to the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games and which sports we've had our eye on and some of the surprises around Team Canada.
Finally we let Michaela loose on the Women's Hockey Tournament! What has we seen from Team Canada? What are the takeaways after that huge victory over Team USA? And was it really a good idea for that game against Russia under masks to go ahead?
And, as usual, there's always one dough head who has to write the "Women's Hockey shouldn't be in the Olympics" article and this year has been no exception. We give thoughts on how out of date this debate actually is.
Listen to Michaela Schreiter for all things CFL on the Mouchoir Podcast and catch her every weekend on TSN Radio with She's Got Game.

We're thrilled to welcome an Olympian, a World Champion and now a tremendous broadcaster to the show. The Women's Hockey Tournament at the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games kicks off on Wednesday night and there's no one better to help get us set for puck drop than Cheryl Pounder.
If you enjoy the show, we'd love it if you could take a moment to support us by leaving a rating on Apple Podcasts or Spotify. It just takes a second but helps us out a great deal.
We kick things off by going back in time about 20 years to ask Cheryl about the legendary Gold Medal Game from the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics where Canada was left shorthanded 11 times by an American referee. The game made news across the country and Cheryl maintains that may have been a turning point for the sport of hockey for women in Canada.
Later on talk turns to Cheryl's transition in to the broadcasting world and how that opportunity presented itself.
And of course, we ask her for a preview of this year's edition of Team Canada heading in to Beijing 2022. Who are the names Canadians will get to know very well throughout the Games? Who has the edge right now to get the call as the starting goaltender? And which team could be the underdog who throws a wrench in to the tournament by changing up the usual order of things?
All this and lots more with a tremendous athlete, a tremendous broadcaster and an even better guest. It's a can't miss episode of Tall Can Audio so make sure you don't miss it.
