As school counselors, we often try to find the underlying issue/s behind unwanted behaviors in hopes that addressing those needs will deliver a different outcome. Even with this knowledge, however, we might still struggle to effect change. At their core, unwanted behaviors are a result of a dysregulated nervous system. In this episode Kathleen Weber explains what Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) are and how EFT can be used in and out of the classroom to support nervous system regulation for our students and for ourselves. With gentle tapping on specific acupressure points, Kathleen will walk us through some exercises to help reduce stress and restore balance to our emotional well-being.
