This episode explores the ways in which we speak to ourselves that are potentially shame-inducing. By identifying our self-talk, we are able to change it to be more positive. This will also help us change the ways in which we speak to others, and improve our ability to empathize with others.
Want to practice more self-compassion? In this episode, I will lead you through a guided meditation that Kristin Neff uses in her Mindful Self-Compassion course, and is available in her workbook, "The Mindful Self-Compassion Workbook." This meditation promotes affection towards ourselves.
Self-Compassion is the act of caring for yourself the way you would a loved one. This episode explores practicing self-compassion.
