In this edition of Locked on Capitals Dan talks about Capitals owner Ted Leonsis and his thoughts on Alex Ovechkin and his goal chase of Gordie Howe and Wayne Gretzky. He also talks about Ovechkin's loyalty to the Capitals:"His loyalty and his durability have just been spectacular," Leonsis said. "That's probably the record that will never be broken, to have that many goals just with one team."
Later in the show Dan talks about the long-term plans for Dylan Strome. Signed in the off season to a one-year deal as a stopgap in the absence of Nick Backstrom. The question is where does Strome fit in when Backstrom returns and will Strome be a Capital next year.
In the final segment Dan talks about Charlie Lindgren. He was named the NHL's first star. The "back up" netminder for the Capitals is playing more like a number one and a pleasant surprise in Kuemper's absence.
