Corey Lamb is making waves in his second year as a professional on the Aussie Tour. At just 23, he’s already put himself in contention multiple times, including at the NSW Open, Webex Willunga, Vic PGA, Gippsland, and Rosebud. One of his standout moments came at the NSW Open at Murray Downs, where he played in the final group alongside 2022 Open Champion Cam Smith—an experience he called “so good” and exactly where he wants to be. Heading into the Vic Open, Corey sits 5th on the PGA Tour Aus Order of Merit among those eligible, with a massive opportunity ahead.

Hailing from Branxton, a small NSW town an hour inland from Newcastle with a population of just 2,255, Corey’s journey has been impressive. He excelled in junior and amateur golf, winning the 2018 Federal Men’s Amateur Open Championship, the 2019 NSW Junior Championship, and the QLD Boys Amateur. COVID disrupted his 2020 and 2021 seasons, but in 2022, he bounced back, winning the Concord Cup and finishing 4th in the Australian Master of the Amateurs. His amateur days were full of travel, great players, and unforgettable experiences.

Corey’s cult-figure status is growing, with plenty of fan engagement. Ryan Peake wants to know what age he took up gymnastics, while others ask if the Wildcats can go back-to-back, how it feels to be mistaken for Brad McGill, and whether his favorite Aussie Tour course is still the same.
