Eddie Hearn, head of Matchroom Boxing Promotions and promoter of IBF champion Kell Brook, has announced that Errol Spence Jr. has signed up for VADA.

The fight that everyone has been talking about seems to be a reality now. The only holdup, according to Eddie Hearn, is the Sheffield City Council accepting the fight there, which shouldn’t be a major roadblock.

Should the boxing public assume the fight is happening now, and should we applaud them for taking extra PED testing?

In today’s spontaneous episode, the panel discusses the recent comments from Mikey Garcia who has stated that he is willing to move up to welterweight in order to fight Keith Thurman. The Thurman heat is nothing new as fighters continue to call him out since defeating Danny Garcia in what was his biggest marque victory to date.

But Mikey Garcia calling out Thurman is somewhat surprising being that Garcia has yet to achieve a major fight within his own division since returning from a two and half year layoff. The TBV hosts will discuss the surprising nature of Garcia reaching so far out of his division when there are other mainstream fights closer to his weight class.

Garcia returned in July of 2016 and has fought only once more since, although in his second return fight he won the WBC lightweight title Dejan Zlaticanin.

In a recent interview posted on ESNEWS’ YouTube channel, Mikey was critical of Thurman’s latest win. He thought Thurman coasted a bit in the later rounds and likened it to Oscar De La Hoya’s famous “tale of two halves” fight against Felix “Tito” Trinidad. Mikey’s critique alluded to the belief that he may hold the key to a Thurman win.

Furthermore, Garcia admitted he’d like to fight Thurman in a FightHype interview, stating that he’d like a summer fight with Thurman at 147lbs. Although, Garcia did state that he’d come back down in weight after attempting to move up for a fight with Thurman.

Kell Brook went to social media to call out his upcoming opponent, Errol Spence Jr. and insinuated he wasn't a "clean" boxer.

"Glad to have @vada_testing alongside @ukantidoping for my next fight @errolspencejr,sign the forms,#letsgetstarted"

Errol Spence Jr. fired back with a tweet of his own alluding the potential weight cutting issues a massive Brook may have in this fight.

"@SpecialKBrook @Vada_Testing @ukantidoping ??????mine will be signed this week you just make sure u make that weight"

This seemingly growing rivalry is only going to heat up as the fight nears. Who won the early exchange? Brook or Spence?

On today’s flagship episode of Thaboxingvoice podcast, the panel discusses this past weekend’s fights headlined by HBO’s 12 round middleweight attraction between David Lemieux and Curtis Stevens. The Verona card was packed with an interesting undercard compiled of such names as Diego De La Hoya and Yuriorkis Gamboa, but Lemieux’s round 3 knockout stole the show and perhaps the weekend. We will discuss the win and the possibilities for Lemieux.

The weekend was also highlighted by a Friday night ShoBox card featuring Claressa Shields in a scheduled 6 round middleweight affair. This card marked one of the most significant stages for female boxing in decades. We will discuss the significance of the evening as well as the possibility of future female boxing endeavors.

Rounding out this weekend’s action was Juan Francisco Estrada in a scheduled 12 round junior bantamweight bout, Luis Nery in a WBC bantamweight eliminator, and Demetrius Andrade challenging for Jack Culcay's WBA "regular" junior middleweight title.

As always, we will take calls and, time permitting, discuss the hottest stories surrounding boxing.

Nestor “Nes” Gibbs, BoxingMD, and Matthew “The Editor” will talk about today’s event with the TBV family.

Terence Crawford has been in search of his next opponent for sometime now. According to Bob Arum, his promoter, it’s down to three names: Amir Iman, Adrian Granados, and Felix Diaz.

Who would be the best opponent out of those three? Who will give Crawford the toughest test?

Iman still hasn’t quite bounced back from the Granados lost. Granados had a close contentious decision loss to Adrien Broner, and Diaz is still riding high from that domination over Sammy Vasquez.

According to reports, Sullivan Barrera has backed out of his fight with Artur Beterbiev that was tentatively scheduled for late April in Miami, Florida.

Now Barrera is saying a contract was never sent to him and that it was due to visa issues for Beterbiev as to why the fight actually did not happen.

Beterbiev said on his social media accounts, "Let us be honest - everything gets down to his money for this fight…My promoter (GYM) won with a bid of $251,000. Main Events…bid just over $181,000. A 75-25 split for this bout was in my favor…Such a split is standard during a purse bid."
