Ashley and Cam cover the infuriating case of wrongfully imprisoned teen Kalief Browder. Jeepers Creepers!
Ashley talks about Kalief's upbringing, the fateful morning that the 16 year old was arrested, and the hell that he went through over his three years at Rikers Island, 700 of which were spent in solitary confinement. Cam goes over the pain Kalief experienced while attempting to deal with the traumas that he suffered while in prison, and trying to reintegrate into society, as well as his tragic passing in 2015.
The gals also had the immense pleasure of speaking with Kalief's defense attorney Paul Prestia, who worked closely with the producers of the excellent documentary Time: The Kalief Browder Story, available on Netflix now! Portions of his interview can be heard in this episode, but the full interview is available on Patreon!
