A Dunedin, Florida man fired 30 ar-15 rounds at his pool cleaner, whom he mistook for an intruder. The pool cleaner, Karl Polek, was not hit by any bullets, but he did sustain minor injuries from shrapnel and flying glass. The man who fired the shots, Bradley Hocevar, will not face charges, as Florida’s Stand Your Ground law protects his right to use deadly force if he believes he is in imminent danger.
A fan threw her mother's ashes on stage at a pink concert in Dallas, Texas. The fan, who has not been identified, said she wanted to give her mother a "proper send-off." Pink stopped the concert to comfort the fan and thank her for sharing her story.
Officials in Florida said they cannot win a murder case in the shooting death of Ajiké Owens, a 27-year-old mother who was killed by a neighbor when she went to his door to ask for help. The neighbor claimed self-defense, and prosecutors said they do not have enough evidence to prove otherwise.

The new menstrual health education curriculum will be implemented in D.C. schools starting next year. This is the first time that a comprehensive menstrual health education curriculum will be taught in all public schools in a major U.S. city. The curriculum will cover topics such as anatomy, puberty, menstruation, and reproductive health. Army honors black WWI hero Sgt. William Henry Johnson with the renaming of a Louisiana base. The base, formerly known as Fort Polk, will now be named Fort William Henry Johnson. Johnson was a black soldier who served with distinction in World War I, despite facing discrimination from his fellow soldiers and superiors.
Diddy upholds his $1 million donation promise to Jackson State University. Diddy made the donation in the wake of the protests that erupted after the death of George Floyd. The money will be used to support scholarships, academic programs, and other initiatives at Jackson State University.

The amanda seales show discussed the recent announcement that slave descendants in Minnesota and the Dakotas will receive $50 million in grants.
The show also talked about NBA coach Tyrone Lue, who revealed that he has been sending a monthly check to his mom and grandma for over 25 years. Lue said that he does this to show his appreciation for everything they have done for him, and to help them out financially.
The show also featured a segment about 14-year-old Preston Mutanga, who created the Lego sequence in the animated film "Across The Spider-Verse." Mutanga said that he was inspired to create the sequence after watching the first "Spider-Verse" film, and that he worked on it for over a year.
