If you ask Phelim, he'll tell you he thinks it's very unlikely that we will see any presidential debates this year.  He might be right because the University of Michigan has cancelled their plans to host one of the debates this year due to the coronavirus.  Will other universities follow their lead?  We discuss whether we will be able to see the candidates battle out their ideas on stage or if the debates will be cancelled altogether. 

In some interesting news the Buzzfeed building in Santa Monica is for sale.  Buzzfeed was once one of the hottest outlets on the media scene.  Now they're laying off workers and selling their posh campus in Santa Monica.  We explain why it's not so surprising that Buzzfeed is being forced to downsize. 

Today we examine some bizarre coronavirus regulations from New Hampshire.  A liberal independent bookstore in New Hampshire is opening by appointment only and they have some very silly new rules for customers who want to shop . . .

Also on today's episode we take a look at the impact of the pandemic on schools, the struggling cruise industry, and the federal guidelines that Governor Hot Spot may have broken when he readmitted COVID patients into nursing homes. 

The media's fear tactics are growing as coronavirus cases rise in many states.  Of course, there's much more to the story!  We examine the latest in The New York Times and explain how their selective reporting could be contributing unnecessarily to the fear surrounding the "uptick" in cases.  It makes us wonder why the establishment aren't working to fully dedicating our resources to protecting the elderly and at risk populations instead of pushing fear tactics on the total population. 

Over the weekend we saw the effect of the media's fear tactics.  Restaurants in Los Angeles are slow and it makes us wonder how big of an economic downturn we are about to face.  With factory production slowing and people staying home -- how bad will the economy get?

We also examine one of the biggest myths about the coronavirus -- is it racist?  Many "thinkers" at outlets like the Guardian are claiming that the virus is racist and has a much bigger impact on minorities.  Is that true?

Also on today's episode we take a look at quarantine "PTSD," the effectiveness of social distancing, and the mass of migration out of New York City.

Economic destruction . . . excess deaths . . . any sane person would be wary of another COVID-19 lockdown but the media is begging for the economy to be shutdown again.  They're telling stories of "case and hospitalization" spikes that have no direct correlation to the severity of the virus.  On today's episode we debunk the media's hysteria and examine the legitimacy of the media's claims about statistics in states like Texas and Arizona.  

We also examine the repercussions of the last lockdown which has led to numerous "excess deaths" across the world.   Excess deaths are deaths that have occurred during the lockdown that are not of COVID that would not have happened normally. 

It's clear politicians are also trying their best to keep the fear and panic porn at an all time high.  Governor Gavin Newsom has announced a mandatory mask mandate for the entire state of California.  This new update comes after counties like Orange County were beginning to repeal their mask mandates.

After what appeared to be a massive flip-flop on the effectiveness of masks to prevent the spread of coronavirus, Dr. Fauci has finally admitted to lying about the use of masks.  Earlier this year Dr. Fauci told Americans on 60 minutes that wearing a mask was not an effective way to prevent the spread of the virus.  Later, he changed his mind and encouraged all Americans to wear a mask.  Now Dr. Fauci has said that his earlier hesitations about mask usage were to prevent a shortage for healthcare workers.  

Also on today's episode we examine a silly clip from Cuomo Prime Time which centers on a group of friends who contracted the coronavirus after heading out to the bars to celebrate a friends birthday.  While Cuomo attempts to push "panic porn" by repeating "all of you got sick" -- the group admits that only two of them contracted flu like symptoms.  You've got to hear this clip - which may actually bring us some good news . . .

The media has been fanning the flames of the Black Lives Matter protests that have spread throughout the country.  On this week’s episode of the Scoop we are DEBUNKING one of the media’s biggest lies about Black Lives Matter, one of their favorite chants, “Hands up, don’t shoot.”    

This phrase is a complete lie that stems from the shooting of Michael Brown in 2014. After the 2014 shooting of Michael Brown in Ferguson, Missouri, a false rumor spread that Brown was surrendering and said “Hands Up Don’t Shoot” before he was shot and killed execution style by Police Officer Darren Wilson. The myth was spread by the media and prominent leaders in the Black Lives Matter movement. And as we’ve seen over the past couple weeks, it still exists today. But it’s a lie, and we have the documentary evidence to prove it.   

In 2015, Phelim wrote a verbatim play, Ferguson, which used only dialogue and evidence from the grand jury proceedings for Officer Darren Wilson. We found out quickly that a lot of people did not want the truth to get out - before the play even premiered, nine cast members walked out and the media largely refused to cover the story.

The City of Los Angeles is learning a hard lesson -- sometimes you run out of other people's money!  The coronavirus pandemic shut down Los Angeles for three months and then saw riots, looting, and protests that forced the LAPD to work copious amounts of overtime.  The LAPD has announced that these officer won't be paid for their work and they will instead receive time off.  All nonessential overtime for the city will be suspended except for staffing at the Bridge Home -- a nearly lawless center for the homeless. 

Also on today's episode we discuss some new research from our favorite site LockdownSkeptics.org.  The article argues that we unnecessarily implemented the lockdown when we knew that the virus primarily affected the elderly and nursing home residents.

Also over the weekend Governor Hot Spot has transitioned from encouraging massive protests in the streets to shaming Manhattanites for enjoying their summer evenings in the name of COVID-19.  We examine Cuomo's hypocrisy and explain why so many New Yorkers will be ignoring his pleas for "social distancing."

The mainstream media is piling on reports of a new "spike" of COVID in states like Arizona.  Of course they're blaming the "spike" on reopening and on President Trump - but is there another reason why case numbers might be rising?  Lockdown skeptic Alex Berenson, a former New York Times reporter, does a deep dive on the new statistics emerging from states that appear to be having rising case numbers.  You might be surprised why some states appear to have rising numbers and it's not what the media claims.

The NPR is holding a similar double standard and is completely outraged that President Trump is considering hosting MAGA rallies again.  Perhaps instead of defunding the police we should be defunding NPR.
