When you experience severe, horrific, terrible grievances, a hug is not going to cut it. We have accepted bad theology and lies from the enemy about how honest we can or can’t be with God. We see friends fall away from the faith because no one can answer their questions or comfort them when they have lost EVERYTHING. But there is a hard, ugly truth we need to come to know: God wants you to bring your COMPLETE HONESTY to Him. He wants you to tell Him you don’t understand, you aren’t fine, that you’re mad at Him, and that you don’t understand why He has allowed every awful thing you’re facing right now. Those of you who have lost everything, and I mean EVERYTHING, from your possessions to your jobs to your families. If God has given you a stirring in your spirit, you don’t have to figure out what you need to produce what God said He will produce. What may be hidden from you that you already have that God is going to use is NOT hidden from God. He has already created you to do what He has called you to do. He has already equipped you and prepared you for what He is calling you to do. If God has told you that He will produce something from you, walk in the favor of the Lord and allow Him to produce it. Like Mary, we as believers are asked to carry something for the Lord. Like Mary, our first question is often, “How can this be?” We may feel entirely unqualified, but that is also the point! The Holy Spirit is promised to come upon us and the power of the Most High will overshadow us. We don’t have to try to control, we don’t have to try to analyze, we just have to trust Him and obey what He has told us to do. He has it figured out. He has it under control.
