  • 261: FA Cup Special: The Mighty Bees Are Up For The Cup - Chelsea pre-match podcast from the pub feat ex Brentford player Scott Barron

It’s FA Cup 4th round weekend and we have a BUMPER FA Cup special podcast as Brentford go to Stamford Bridge with the hope of miraculously kicking Chelsea out the cup tis season. So the Beesotted crew scrubbed themselves up and made their way down to The Banker in Cousins Lane - just under Cannon Street Station - to impress their Chelsea guests who apparently wear purple ties and diamond rings in their eyes to football matches.

This episode we welcome the Garry Hayes from the Chelsea Podcast as we chat transfer window - and how the current one month window does no one any favours except agents and Sky; We discuss Brentford's latest signing - Florian Jozefoom from PSV Eindhoven - and regularly update the podcast with the latest news from his medical which was taking place at the time of recording - with kabbaddi being the most bizarre task that he had to carry out to prove his fitness.

We talk Chelsea and Brentford emerging young talent on the back of the recent Brentford article on the success of the B team. What is the path to the first team from youth football? Plus Liberal Nick is not happy with half and half scarves and - very un-liberal-like - wants people wearing them banned. We also chat to ex-Brentford player Scott Barron who gives us the lowdown on what went down in the dressing room the last time we met Chelsea in the cup.

  • 259: Bees Fall With One Eye On Chelsea? - Wigan 2 Brentford 1 Post-Match podcast from the pub

Brentford went to Lancashire desperate to get three points in the bag after the disappointment of losing against Newcastle.

But it wasn't to be. Hogan wasn't in the side. The team we're playing like they were scared to get injured for the Chelsea match next week.

And Brentford ended up losing 2-1.

We spoke to Bees & #latics fans after the match in the pub

  • 258: McCormack and Saunders off? Bees Ready To Rhumble? - Wigan pre-match Celebrity podcast from the pub

Brentford were unlucky against Newcastle. So they come again - ready to rhumble against Wigan this weekend and hopefully get themselves back on track with 3 points.

The Beesotted crew linked up at the funky The Old Packhorse Pub in Chiswick to discuss celebrity photobombing, which Brentford celebrity they would get out of there, exactly where Brentford have got talent and even revealed their preferred Saturday takeaway in a distinctly (and quite silly) Ant and Dec themed podcast after the lads' appearance at Griffin Park at the weekend and consequentially being all over Bees fans’ social media for the next few days.

Getting back on track .. the crew also discussed the Newcastle match itself … the transfer window … ask are Saunders and McCormack off? … after the tribunal awarded Southend £1.1m for Bentley we also asked whether we are getting value for money for investments … Liberal Nick rants about not being able to choose your seat at Chelsea (or most football matches) … and we speak to Worbo from Wigan blog Latics Speyk (http://bit.ly/2iMhjSB) …..
