Brentford were unlucky against Newcastle. So they come again - ready to rhumble against Wigan this weekend and hopefully get themselves back on track with 3 points.
The Beesotted crew linked up at the funky The Old Packhorse Pub in Chiswick to discuss celebrity photobombing, which Brentford celebrity they would get out of there, exactly where Brentford have got talent and even revealed their preferred Saturday takeaway in a distinctly (and quite silly) Ant and Dec themed podcast after the lads' appearance at Griffin Park at the weekend and consequentially being all over Bees fans’ social media for the next few days.
Getting back on track .. the crew also discussed the Newcastle match itself … the transfer window … ask are Saunders and McCormack off? … after the tribunal awarded Southend £1.1m for Bentley we also asked whether we are getting value for money for investments … Liberal Nick rants about not being able to choose your seat at Chelsea (or most football matches) … and we speak to Worbo from Wigan blog Latics Speyk (http://bit.ly/2iMhjSB) …..

Newcastle get out their get out of jail card as they weathered the storm when Brentford battered them in the second half.
But it was game where Newcastle took their chances - holding the Bees off to get all three points.
We spoke to Brentford fans, Newcastle fans and Bees player Maxime Colin in the pub after the match.

2017 has been pretty spot on for Brentford so far. 100% record. A 4th round draw against Chelsea in the FA Cup. Playing Newcastle at the weekend without the influential Jonjo Shelvey. Hold on a minute. Lets not count our chickens before they’re hatched.
An all change Beesotted crew met up at The Hydrant Pub just by Monument Station - just around the corner from the Tower of London - to consume craft beers and discuss all sorts of nonsense including being up for the cup … the madness of the current transfer market … the reception of Martin Allen and Jota at the Eastleigh match … Newcastle’s turn of form since Shelvey got banned for being a bit of an idiot … allegedly … how Brentfod have faired overall in the transfer window over the past few years with the incoming money and outgoing money … Liberal Nick gives a rant on the new 48 team World Cup format .. plus of course we discuss the forthcoming Newcastle match.

The Bees were up for the cup. And with Martin Allen whipping his Eastleigh team into a frenzy, it was important that the Bees did not slip on this potential banana skin.
And 45 minutes later after scoring 5 goals, the Bees had the match wrapped up. Great goals. And done great football.
We spoke to fans on the terrace and in the pub after the match

The FA Cup is upon us and Conference side Eastleigh visit Griffin Park to try and use an upset. We speak to Eastleigh manager (and ex Bees manager) Martin Allen about tank tops, DJ Campbell and whether his Brentford side would have beaten today’s Bees team.
Looking back to the weekend, Brentford came out of the Christmas period unbeaten - even if performances were so-so. A draw at home to Norwich was followed up by a resounding victory up at Birmingham - where the Bees won 3-1 after going a goal behind.
The Beesotted crew met up in The Jugged Hare in Pimlico to shoot the breeze … and chat Scott Hogan … Sergi Canos … Jota … Ben Stevenson from Coventry … plus who else should we be bringing in … Liberal Nick goes on a rant about FA Cup TV matches .. and we predict the score for the Eastleigh FA Cup match
